Festival Fun

As expected~ this was the common scene at Tulip Festival this year.

Lots and lots of stems.

Every once in a while we would spot a Tulip.

Very exciting.

We didn't need loads of tulips to have a fabulous day though.

The kids dressing up and everyone being together is really what it's all about.

I LOVE to see our kids in Dutch Costumes.

The boy cousins walking towards the parade route. They are getting hard to tell apart from behind in their matching costumes.

I love the unique little details of Tulip Festival. This old music cart is beautiful to look at and so fun to listen to.

Costumes are fun, but the kids are always ready to get out of them and just be kids by the end of the day.

I ate lots of Poffertjes. They were pretty much breakfast, lunch, and dinner for me. They are my absolute fav and we only get them once a year. SO good!

Love the giant slide!

The oldest two had a blast on this thing.

I would have certainly thrown up.

Charlotte loved this puppy ride.

Katryna and John were the only 2 brave enough to ride this insane ride that goes in a huge circle and dangles you upside down.

I can never get enough of my adorable little Guatemalan boy being Dutch. He is always too cute for words.

We laughed SO hard when we saw the float go by in the parade with a fast asleep Charlotte on it. We can now add this to the list of crazy places Charlotte has fallen asleep. :)

We loved every moment with these five and all of our friends and family at Tulip Festival!
